FAQ

Some of the Frequently Asked Questions to Draft Dodger.

Do you offer telephone support for mail slot installation? Can we contact you?

Though some members of our team are skilled craftsman, each installation or retrofit of a mail slot is unique and would be challenging to provide support without being there in person.

We will continue to provide more resources to help you install your mail slot with ease. If you need some added help that you think we would be able to do over an e-mail, please go to our contact page and reach out.

Why is it difficult to insert a single letter though my mail slot?

This has been something that we at Draft Dodger are working on. The quick explanation is that the interior 2 sets of brushes provide resistance and can some times cause the envelope to flex and get locked in the brushes. The brushes also force the envelope to exit through the center and press up against the interior flap which also has closing force.

We are looking into solutions to this issue, but for now the person who is inserting the mail though the mail slot has to slide there hand partially in as well to assist the single envelope to pass though the brushed and interior flap.

How do I select the color of my mail slot?

There are two things to consider when selecting a color for your mail slot. What are your accessory colors and what is my door color. Each of these will help you decided which color to select. Please look at the images carefully because the colors might not match your existing hardware.
