The Draft Dodger Elite is the Same Model as the Draft Dodger Uni-T
The Draft Dodger Elite name is going to be slowly discontinued to support the new name of the Uni-T. The main reason for this is that the term Elite did not provide much of a discription for what the mail slot actually provides. The name Uni-T is now used becuase it combines the main features of this model. Universal becuase this mail slot can be insalled on all doors and Telescopic becuase it has a passthough sleeve that self adjusts to your door size up to a maximum. We hope that this does not provide much confusion and we hope that this name sounds better.

Energy Efficient Features
The Uni-T parcel port provides its energy efficiency with 2 main features. The first line of defense from a draft comes from the gasket and the torsion rods keeping a tight exterior seal. If mail or a parcel is preventing it from closing, a brush strip on the interior further limits the escaping indoor air. Also included with each mail slot is an exterior gasket that is used during installation to limit any air passing around the mail slot.

A mail slot is not complicated to install as long as you have a good set of tools and the right dimensions. With each Draft Dodger passport, you will receive a cutout guide for your respected unit size. Included as well is the bolts “bolting” method of installing the mail slot. There are many other ways such as directly screwing it to the door or using caulking.
Each person’s installation experience is going to be different, but we hope that with the information that is provided to you, you will be able to install the mail slot yourself.
